I dont know if this is good or not i have a baby wipe warmer, i checke the temperature inside and its to hot, however, i put a baggie with a damp towel on top with a seed inside to test germination.

I checked the temeratur with a lab certified digital thermometor and the temperature is exactly 79.9 degrees on top so it sounds like a good germitnator for what its worth

eleshadow, whats a baby wipe warmer look like and where did you get it?, I never heard of one.

The best germination of seeds I ever had was by using one of those cheap plastic chicken egg incubators that look like a UFO.They have a clear bubble top,wire shelf to hold eggs out of humidifying water. I sprinkled captan on wet paper towel,put the seeds on the towel, folded the towel over, and put the towel on the wire rack. The seeds sprouted roots in a few days, then planted them in jiffypots. You just dont loose seed to rot!

Follow up: 10:41 checked the seed temperature and it was down to 80 so i put a wash cloth on top of the baggie and it came back up to 83.1 degree.

It is kind of cold out and the room its in is a little colder then the rest so i figuered that accouted for it.

Follow up 5:52 p.m. unfolded wash cloth to one layer, daytime temp is holding steady @ 86 degrees

Night temp: 85 degrees, will it germinate - time will tell

SUCESS!

At 5:30 oklahoma time it sprouted!

Almost makes me feel like a proud parent. Well that is 100% germination rate for me.

The baby wipe warmer works great! so now i know where i will be sprouting my seeds
