Ok! Everyone here has been so nice to me it's time I shared something.

Having moved to Oklahoma only 8 months ago, and having to clear lots of high grass and weeds, I contractecd the deadly CHIGGERS!

I tried everything out there to stop them and stop the icthing. If you name it I tried it.

Now I have to share with you what i found by accident that stops the itching.

I was working on some pvc pipe one day and while working I had a itch attack, so out of desperation I put a glob of clear pvc glue on the spot, and let me warn you it burns for about 15 seconds. I noticed immediately after the burning stopped that there was no more itching.

After about 2 hours the patch just pulls right off of the skin and you can see the chiggers in the middle of the patch, yuck!

Well bette them on the glue than on my legs and ankles.

I put some antibiotics on the wound and they healed quickly and no scars.

I'm no doctor but if you get chiggers and youre desperate like i was - like lack of sleep etc. - You might want to try what I did. If it works for you I'm happy and maybee it might for somone else.

Is chiggers like scabies? I had that once and it was the worst.

In the midwest chiggers are invisible little bugs which bite you and cause welts to rise up on your skin (if you sctarch them enough). On the west coast chiggers are gang bangers of asian descent in low-rider, modified, mini-pickup trucks. I think that Larry is suffering from the midwestern variety.

Finger Nail Polish or a little bottle of Chigger-Rid works best for us. Best thing is use some type of spray on teh grass or some type of repellent spray on your body before you get them. Wait till you get one south of the border...Then you can talk about having chiggers...LOL
