My fiancee was doing "some cleaning" in the kitchen this evening and bounced my bp.com mug across the floor, breaking it into pieces. Should I take this as a sign, or continue to grow pumpkins this summer? I'm a little ignorant when it comes to these things, and I don't read between the lines very well...

As long as it was in the kitchen and she did not throw it at you everything is OK. It was probaly Coffe stained anyway.

James, a new cup you can buy. At least it was not you cleaning the kitchen. I'd let this one go and just hit the merchandise button and place your order.

Did she bounce it off your head? If not buy another mug, tell her how wonderful she is in your life, and spend your weekend getaway cash on the upcomming seed auctions! PS may want to buy your sweetie some flowers for St. Valentines Day... LuV

Well....welll....well. You should take it as a sign. Your pre-nup should establish the fact that pumpkins pre-dated the marriage and you will be able to remind her that thats what she marrried ! It cost me a new kitchen to do pumpkins, maybe you can learn from this. I have two old trucks in my garage undergoing a 16 year restoration(so far) that pre-date my marriage..."Marry Me, marry my trucks"...lol...it works.(then again its been 16 years so maybe not....)
Of course this attitude is all in fun, but she best know that pumpkins is part of the package...and yes,a broken BP mug is a sign she's worried, jealous, or pissed off....might wanna step lightly........

Plant the pumpkin seed, load the side arm and pretend you are watching for varments and neighborhood peeping Toms. That should cover all possible events here.

Your pumpkin growing skills will now improve. Because your coffee intake will have to decrease because there is no mug. Your hands and feet will be steadier while weeding between the leaves, buryingand pruning the vines, and while walking on the boards because you have lowered your caffine intake. Thank you girl friend so being so interested in your hobby that she would take such extreme measures as to break your coffee cup.

I could not help notice that you had "Some Cleaning" in quotation marks. So I am thinking this goes deeper than what we are seeing. Although two doctors have given you their views on this. A third opinion might not hurt. We need more information as to the mood she was in while cleaning. Did she show remorse after the mug was broken? Did she want to know where she could go a buy you a new one? I agree with Docgipe...Go on as if nothing happened. But keep your fertilizers and weedkillers locked up in seperate places, Maybe even at a friends house. I would definetly keep this in my mind as a warning sign...

Just bought another TWO mugs (ordered them last night). I'll leave them in a conspicuous place and maybe set up a hidden video camera... gonna put my detective skills to work on this case. And yes, I have considered hiding the weedkillers. Has anyone ever died from consuming a bag of greensand with their cornflakes?

The Breaking of your BP.COM coffee mug is a sign that you will break a giant pumpkin record in 2005 with a lttle help from your fiancee.

Just don't leave a pumpkin seed anywhere near the headache pills and night glass.
