Hey BC. I don't know of a site that will host a tournament without it costing you. May have a better chance to just try to get one table of people together at the same site. I play some at UltimateBet but I'm sure there are people here that know more than me. Either way I'm up for it.

here is what ultimate bet says.. Dear Keith,
Just send us the specifications of the tournament you wish to organize such as:
-Date and time -Type of game (No limit, limit, Hold'Em, Omaha, etc) -Buy-in amount (minimum must be of $5.00) -Name of the event -List of players who are going to participate -Any other relevant details you'd like to add
Once we receive your message we will forward it to our Tournament Monitoring Department for their review. They will contact you as soon as possible confirming the status of this tournament.
Please contact us if you have any other comments, questions or concerns in the future.

i imagine at the very least there will be a rake. If you get a low buy in more people will probably play.
i would also suggest no limit hold'em because the action is fast and it wont take days.

Yahoo games has hold'em poker. You can create your own table and set it to private so it's not open to the public. seats about 10... I think
http://games.yahoo.com/ it's under the card game category as Hold'em poker You have to be or become a yahoo user (email account, etc...) might be worth looking into!?

Pumpkin Poker...I like it. Deal me in. This is just a thought, but wouldn't it be a good idea to charge maybe $5 to enter and use the proceeds to buy a good seed or two from an auction or one of the growers associations? In other words, if 20 people enter, that's $100; donate the money to a growers association in exchange for a couple of seeds. Like I said, just thought...

i would be in, but i would hate to get in the game and then lose my aol connection in the middle of the game. if there is anyway if this happens and i can still keep my chips after rebooting i would be in for sure. at worst in the down time i would be willing to lose an automatic blind in my rotation for the 1 minute reboot time. shazzy

pacific poker is a pretty good site. They even have several free roll tournys for real money every day. In demo mode you start out with 1000 dollars. I'm up to $100,000 as of today!! I hate pocket pairs!!! LOL!!!
