I'm accepting a youth director position at a church in Wichita, Kansas! I am very happy about the job/ministry, and believe it or not, Kansas doesn't look like the black and white place Judy Garland led me to believe it was; its really quite pretty, and the people there are super friendly. My first day of work is March 3. I am even being given some space to grow AGs on the church property! :)
Its kind of sad to leave behind the 4000 sqft patch I worked so hard on last year, but at least this time I am moving to a place I expect to stay for at least a decade.
Anybody know what the Kansas state record is for pumpkin and squash? I have to set some goals.

Congrats on the new position. Guess you have about a month and a half or so to get that church soil up to speed.

I grew up in Kansas. It is a great place to be from. We used to call Wichita "the world's biggest truck stop."

Good luck on the move. May you grow one so big it tilts the patch and causes the doors of the church to stick.

402 in 94?!? wow. Maybe I have a shot of holding a record for a while. Is there no squash record?

Thanks for all the best wishes, friends. I'll probably be bowing out of bp for the next month and a half to focus on the move (1700+ miles... jeepers!). I'll plug back in probably around germination time. See you all then! :-)
