I know that a few growers are growing clones /cuttings in their basements over the winter.I was just curious on how they are doing and how big are they now.

My hats off to those who can keep a clone alive over winter. I had 2 clones going but have lost them both. At first it was looking like an easy thing to do, keeping clones but I quickly found it it takes a gift that I do not have. At this point I doubt i will ever try it again.

Interesting, I'm going to try this sometime. But I have a few questions. Are you still growing the original from last fall or are you cloning the clone? Are you cloning seedlings? Are growing them at lower temps to keep the growth rate down?

My clone is a cutting from my 1076.5 Werner that I grew last year I keep my temp at 60deg F and I use a 4ft long florecent light on a timer

My clones are from plants from several area growers who had good results last year, i have an 846, a 582, and 2 898's. I've found that i have no problem with growth rate and that they seem to slow down on their own. I'm at about 65 degrees which is roughly the temperature of my basement and use a metal halide security light with a grow bulb in it and two flourescents for more of a natural light. The biggest problem for me are whiteflies and making them root.

Essentially i grow them from one tray to the next and maintain about a 4-10 ft plant depending on roots.
