Yes Shannon! The squids taught you well. Congratulations on cracking the code I used when passing notes to my friends in Mrs O'Malleys third grade math class.

BTW: Did you know that John F. Kennedy actually played fair and managed to help himself & his crew out a jam when his PT 109 was sunk by the Japanese in the Soloman Islands? He was able to send an emergency message using this code from an Allied coast watchers hut and arrange for the rescue of his crew. Hell, Kennedy used it, got his ass rescued, became a war-hero, got elected to congress, and became president. If you use it, who knows how far you might get! But then again, as my friend Lloyd Benson might say: I knew Jack Kennedy, Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine, and believe me: You're no Jack Kennedy. Nevertheless, I would use keyword "LAVENDER" on this one...but that's just me.

Games indeed! These are just the right type of mental gymnastics necessary during the offseason to help cultivate the creative flexibility and brainpower required to reach prodigious new heights in pumpkin growing!
Sorry the first message was so simple as to insult everyone's intelligence. I must confess, that basic inverted alphabet cipher didn't even fool old Mrs. O'Malley. Yup, she promptly deciphered my message & read it aloud; "I love Lorna Wazel" thus proclaiming my innermost secret to the whole third grade math class. I was mortified. Well, no way was I going to repeat that kind of traumatic experience in fourth grade. By then I had smartened up considerably, and, utilizing the Playfair Cipher I covered my ass good. Yes, the simplicity yet cryptographic strength of the Playfair Cipher proved an immediate success in the classroom. Sure, Mrs. Cavanough still intercepted my messages now & then...but never again would my code be cracked...sparing me immeasurable embarrassment.
Sorry for all the undue self disclosure folks...sometimes I tend to ramble a bit. Cheerio mates!
