More talk about prunning, Many folks have reported cases of fruit that continue to grow with large gains after accidental seperation of the main vine. Why? Any Ideas?

I mulled this over a few times last fall. My view centers on removing the old from the new. I am starting to review the process of suberization, senesence and how it affects the plant into the dog days.
