Just finished Langevin's GPIII and noticed only one entry for a Kentucky pumpkin (204 lbs). I know KY has produced some giants but no credit (or attempt to gain credit) is noted anywhere I look. Also having trouble finding any associations to join in KY. Not sure any exist......
How do I get Kentucky on Langevin's map?

Look up Kygrower in the 2004 grower diaries. He grew one over 1000 lbs. last year(I think it was classified as a squash though). He grew a 699 lb. pumpkin the year before. I'd contact him for info. Maybe Langevin's book was up to date at printing time? Records can fall quickly in this sport.

Hey Brooks, can't wait to get your seeds! Did you get the cards?
Thanks Doug, I will try to contact Kygrower. Langevin's book lists records by State for the heaviest (one per State)and was current thru '02. Ky's record was 204 and the year grown was 1994.

Tom, I have tracked some of his weights in the State of Indiana and once so far at the Ky State Fair. Is he a contributor on this board? Contact info?
Thanks

Tom I love how you throw in the word "y'all" to fit the Kentucky dialect. I KNOW you wouldn't say that normally!

1320, Frank used to be in the chat room about every night. His bp name is Ottercreek. He still visits the chat occasionally. I bet he will start being more frequent this coming season.

Don Langevin sent out emails calling for records from anyone who had them. He wanted all the current data that he could get his hands on. But sometimes connects just don't get made. I'll send you Don's email address.
Also you'll want to contact Jim Gatewood and have KY added to the Top Ten List on the ipga web site. http://www.ipga.ws/TTAPumpkins.htm
