we've had it easy the past couple weeks here in NY, what with a green Christmas, and a green New Year's as well. stupid me, i didn't even think to put-in a cover crop until i saw somebody's post about fava beans and 9 days of rain, with them germinating...i should be on the phone right now trying to find a local supplier! it'll be okay. the supply of manure i was SUPPOSED to get didn't work out, so i just figured, "well, do it in the spring", and went about other things. my plan WAS to get the manure, till it in well, and THEN do the cover crop----------but one step failed so the rest did too. so, so, so, to the phone i go! eric

Ice storm came through yesterday, trees down all over the area and the creek is up over the road with all this rain. The patch is safe and sound though. The ice looks really cool frozen on all the winter rye, I should've took a picture of it.
