There's been a few auctions this year so far but I have yet to see an 810 Dill offered. Any chance of seeing one in an upcoming auction or have they all been planted? I would love to grow it and could never trade for one so an auction is my only shot. (Just don't tell the Mrs. LOL)

the southern new englandgiant pumpkin growers are having our auction mid winter on bp
the 810 dill came from a female 920 cole (ri) which in turn came from our 567.4 (ri) which we grew from the world famous 567.5 mombert
we have the 920 and 567.4 and a couple more off spring of the mombert 567 in one package at our upcoming auction
im not sure what howard crossed the 920 cole with to produce the 810 but im sure some of our readers could tell you if you can get the male polinator you could reproduce the 810 cross

Thanks for the info guys. I'll keep my eye out for the real thing in the upcoming auctions but the way it's looking, we won't be lucky enough to see one listed. Perhaps an 810 x self would be a good second choice?

Here is something to look foward to: If all goes as planned in 2005 I will try and recreate the 810 Dill cross as I have the 920 C. & 715 D. seeds. I'll just have to take a few extra sick days from work to do the extra work over & above what I do all summer. Has anyone tried this recross and had any luck???????????

i have one of each, so i'll be attempting it also. i think i will ONLY pollinate each of those plants with pollen from each other, to absolutely make good the result of the project. regardless of what the plants produce fruit-size-wise, at least i will get the seeds. amen.

The 715 Dill is a tough one to germinate. Took 3 last year to get 1 to germinate. I grew the 920 Cole last year and will be growing 2 this year. If you can, find a backup for the 715. they are a 96 seed so could be tough to find. I lost my 715 last year in a bad wind storm Won't happen this year. i am also going to plant the 914 Wentzel, which is the mother of the 875 Dill and the Male is also the 715 Dill as Peter mentioned before Eddy

Thanks for the info Jeff. Good luck to you all with your remake/germination. Another 810 Dill would be awesome!
