Dear mother nature:
i was wondering if it would be possible to turn off the faucet that's been located directly over my patch for the last two weeks. i know last year i complained that it was too hot, and i didn't get enough rain. But even still, you've gone too far this time. To go to the opposite extreme is just not right either. Maybe we can find some common ground, perhaps sunny with highs in the mid to upper 80's during the day, and 60's at night, and maybe we could work something out with lower humidity? i'm not adverse to trying some ancient rituals either if that helps.

thank you for your consideration concerning this matter.

sunless and sopping wet on the south shore of long island,
scott

Well Scott, looks like you got me again this year.Has the mildew hit you yet? Its here and I sprayed like crazy.Stem splits wont dry in this humidity and the fan just blows 100% humid air on them. The only consolation is being 10 miles east of you I get the sun first!!Listen...forget about Mother nature..I'll see that the weather picks up...is tomorrow too soon?......#2

I'm in Central California and my water bill and AC bill is going to be high. It has been in the 90s and 100s lately. I get too hot trying to work in the patch and then I can't get cool enough in the house. If someone wants to share some of their rain, that would be nice....How about a trade? I haven't measured my pumpkin yet but I can't lift it anymore. Maybe I'll try to measure when the sun goes down later.

Attention CA Growers:

If you want rain, do like I did...

Read the article about misting by Farmer Scott. Then call the great folks at DripWorks and order the parts for a misting system. Ever since my system was delivered, it has rained... about 10 days now!

(The mister is safely packed in the box it came in under my desk, My feet are on it now... makes for a great ataman)

The weather in Wisconsin has been pretty nice for the past 5 or 6 weeks maybe even 7. There was a couple of dry weeks a week or so ago now it has been raining every 3or 4 days. Hope that everyones weather turns around for the best. mark

Weather has surprisingly beeen very good here in Wisconsin, it has been a little dry but that can be taken care of. I haven't had to deal with a severe storm yet! that is very peculiar, no hail, wind, anything. I am begining to think that something is waiting to happen with force. hope not!
