Engel's Great Pumpkins and Carvings

Menomonie, WI ([email protected])

Today while in the Mall of America in Minneapolis, MN. While waiting for my parents delayed flight to come in I was playing in LEGOLAND. I was approached by a fellow pumpkin grower John Doucet. He was a little ways from his home state of Maine. He recognized my Tony Stewart "Great Pumpkin" baseball cap . This got me to thinking what are the odds..and who else has run into other Pumpkin growers out of there neck of the woods. Shannon

My brother works at Enterprize Car Rental about 30min from my home. On the Thurs. before weighoff day some guy came in and rented a pick-up truck, and told my brother we was using it to haul some big pumpkins to a weighoff. My brother, knowing how fanatical I am about pumpers, took the guys info down and passed it to me. The grower happened to be Matt Marose, and he lives about an hour from my home. Because of this random chance meeting, Matt and Myself are now the coordinators of a weighoff in Stillwater, MN. Small world indeed!

I'm Home!! Yup, been a busy month here. Work took me out to Hawaii and LA LA land. Back to MA for awhile then off to MN to spend Christmas with my In-laws. Go figure walking around the Mall of America I would bump into a pumpkin grower!! Small world. Bill I thank you for clearing up the ME reference. But I still can't figure out if it was an insult or a compliment. LOL
