The Bobier 723 and Calai 846 are my first 2 choices. I have 2 of the 723 seeds that I won't part with. My 3rd choice is Mombert's 940(98) that produced the Emmons 1262( I have 3 seeds, will give one to my son). Then its a toss-up for 4th and 5th places amoung Dill's 875(99), Bobiers 845(00) and Pukos 805. I plan to plant a Dill 875 and Pukos 805. I have a Bobier 845, but won't use it next year as the 1260.4 it produced looks to me as if it should have been called a Squash by the current color rules.

I agree with Len on the 723,846,940(98),& the 875.
But for the last choice I have to go with the Kuhn 712.

723,705,846,712,and 935. The 935 because there's still a few out there and everyone wants to do the 935x845 cross. If you dont accept the 935 as a practical aquisition then i would say its the 940Mombert with a 900lyons as an alternate....g

All the seeds mentioned so far are great picks. I think the 723, 846 and 705 are the top picks. I don't have one to plant, but I would probably through the 914 Wentzell into the mix as well..Joe P.

I would agree 723/ 846/ 935 /825.5/ 805 should be a good one to. Only have the 805 will be grown next year. I also like the 455.4 Andrews for a squash 990 hebb also. The
`1107,1153,1062 and 2 of my own are my choses for next year.

Could the 611.5 Hester 99 be another hot (or at least warm) seed of the future? Should've produced green, but throwing out some pretty good sized orange pumpkins. Thoughts anyone?

Ron,
Too many green genes for my liking. That green is going show up somewhere. I like em orange. I tried to see some pictures of the offspring from the 611.5 but I couldn't find any.

On the aggc site the 611.5 "family portrait" has 3 pics of offspring. Not as orange as your 847, but way more orange than my 549. I don't have one of those seeds, just thought it was kind of interesting when I stumble accross it.

712 Kuhn, 846, 723, 705 stelts, 940 98, and 845 are the hottest seeds probably, 914, 935, 900.8, 825 are still good old seeds highly sought after....other good ones that might creep in....611.5 hester, 790 Daletas, 875 Dill.

Gads

Deer Park WA

The Gadberry top two for 2002 (Ones I plan on growing).
The 1153 01 Eaton (723 Bobier 99 x 974.5 Eaton 00).
The 1167 01 Handy (846 Cali 99 X 810 Handy 99).

The 846, and the 723 are two of the three best mothers in the world right now. The 1153 X 1167 cross will bring together some of the best genetic in the world today.

So far, 1000+ pounders have not been the best seeds. I think only one has produced a fruit over 1000 pounds. Maybe, the 1153 and 1167 will be different for GADS.

hey you

Greencastle, PA

Len and GADS,
the 1026 Holland grew the 1028 Hester and the 1056 Dueck grew the 1058 Papez UOW. Two have grown 1000 pounders, but only one oficially.
