biggest SANDBAGGER of the year .. and one of the funniest guys on BP ... yes mr one liner himself...
our own "g" ... Glenn Andrews ...
was super quiet all season long ... and no diary entries... so we ALL knew something was up ... but if you asked him in chat what he had growing ... he said he had nothing... I am having my typical lousy year.
he just started his diary yesterday or the day before...
http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryView.asp? season=2004&grower=2371&action=L
He defines sandbagging in one of his entries ! the ones who take about it usually are... LOL! and call the two guys the beat him at the weigh off sand baggers. a typical sign is that you acuse others around your to divert attention from your own incriminating actions. ROFL ! just because you don't know what the guy has doesn't me he is a sandbagger... But when you run around acting differently than normal and say you have nothing then show up with something- well then I call that sandbagging !
g - we all love you ! and hope you do well next year !

Gordon, not to dispute your choices but, all kidding aside, Jack LaRue, with 7 fruit over 1000 lbs (1003,1052,1109,1157,1160,1205 and 1420) has got to be the grower of the year. I don't want to take away from Al's accomplishment, it was awesome. But (7) fruit over 1000 lbs, WOW! ps (Jack says if you want seeds, you better start buttering him up! :o) And yes I would concur with Adam about Ben, if he didn't have bad luck, he'd have no luck at all. (however, his girlfriend is very cute :o)

That's right, I'm a Bortner. If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

The "bad Luck" award should go to Madman Marc in Colorado Springs. I think he got hailed out several times, with total hail being well over 12"

Haven't you heard? Ben will be growing at his girlfriend's home in 2005. I told him that they have too much grass in their backyard, but he didn't take kindly to the idea of enlarging the growing area. :>)
