I am sorry to report that Barb Kincaid of Florida passed away earlier this week.
I am not sure how many people on this site knew her, but you probably knew of her. She was very active on the Mallorn list.
I met her at Topsfield a few years back and enjoyed the conversation I had with her. She was an extremely nice person. She will be missed.
In my opinion this sport has suffered a great loss with her passing. However, this loss is eclipsed by the loss her family and friends must be feeling.
The people on the Mallorn site that knew her best are organizing a fund for her grand daughter and an auction. I encourage you to read the recent posts on that site for more information if you are interested in making a donation or participating in the auction.
Barb, rest in peace. Your kindness and generosity to others in this sport will not be missed. You were an inspiration to many...

Barb touched the lives of more pumpkin growers than she'll ever know. Anyone interested in donating seeds for the auction should contact Rocky Rockwell.

Hello Everyone, Rocky has enough donated items at this time and has asked that no more items be sent. Right now, the auction is planned for next Thursday night. People are going to start entering the Pennsylvania Giant Pumpkin Growers chat room at about 8:00 PM with the bidding to start around 8:30-9:00 PM. It will be done in the PGPGA website chatroom.. go to the PGPGA website at http://www.PGPGA.com and enter chat through there. Barb was a special person, lets all get involved to show our support for her Granddaughter and family!... Joe P.
