Merry Christmas! I know some people are in the habit of using "Xmas" because it is quicker to type(I'm not judging this, as I may have done it in the past). Let's remember whose birth we are celebrating, and put Christ in place of the X. Alan and PGPGA, I don't mean to criticize, or embarrass you with this post. I'm thankful for the spirit and meaning implied by your well wishes.
Humbly, Doug

Here is the explanation of the X. It can represent two different things actually. First off, it can represent the Greek New Testament letter "Chi" which is represented by the letter "X". I can't right exactly the correct word for Christ in Greek with just english letters, but it looks like this "Xpistos" The X sound like a "k" and the "p" like an "R". "Kristos" would be how it's pronounced. The the "X" can be short for Christ just using the first greek letter. Other people use it as an english X to cross out the name of Christ. Anyway, that's the explanation:) Jimmy
