In one of my patches I only get around 65% sun light a day, I was wondering if any one has used some kind of reflector to point to your plants for more sun light during the day. Would this work?

you can buy roles of mylar at indoor growing supply stores online. it is like a mirror rolled up. it is to maximize reflective light for indoor purposes, but might make nice home made mirrors if stapled to plywood sheets for what you are thinking about Brooks. if you did try it, you need to put duct tape on both sides of any staple or connection point so it doesn't tear at these secured places. the heavier 6 mil stuff would probably hold up better. i have no idea of the cost or if it would work, let alone the reflection thrown off into neighbors eyes if you are residential like myself.

I'm thinking that something like that may create hot spots on the leaves. Mabey if you used something like mylar or tinfoil you could crumple it, which may bounce and spread the light a bit. Just a thought! or... one big magnifying mirror! lol

I guess the bigger question is how to keep the reflected sunlight on the patch. As the sun moves across the sky, the reflectors would have to be moved. Even strategically placed reflectors would only be effective for the amount of time the sun was at the correct point of apogee. I think you might only gain 20 minutes or so with stationary reflectors.

Reflected light is sometimes more intense or broken into different spectrums. Large buildings with a lot of glass have a problem with grass growing on the window side.

White polythene sheet is used by onion and leek growers laid on top of the beds like you would black poly to prevent weeds.
