I would like to apply for this award and even apply for 2002 and 2003 if we can back-date it.
In 2002 only grew 513 from 845Bobier (only 38% of its top offspring of 1337Houghton)
In 2003 only grew 595 from 582Hester (only 40.8% of its top offspring 1458Whittier)
In 2004 only grew 459 from 790Daletas (only 36.8% of it's top offspring 1245Bailey)
So not only have I grown poorly but it seems I'm even getting worse....LMAO!
If anyone can beat these figures I'll send the winner a pretty nice but cheap wall map of germany. Best regards all and Mewwy Kwismas! Michel

ahhhhhh..is it better to grow bad than to not have grown at all? That is the true question. Things have to be all lined up and luck has to run with you all the way. From getting the seed, then germinating it, and having a good growing season, and getting it to the weigh off. Just like Golf I will never be Tiger Woods. The only thing I worry about is things I can control is myself.

This year I had a 582 that was cooked at germination. A 1104 that I failed to protect from pests. A 709 that I watered too much. A 675 that failed to set. A 608 that went wild.
A five I butchered to early retirement.

In reality I am very happy with each and every pumpkin I have grown and even loved my 459 this year which was about 150 lbs. shy of my pb of 595. To me it has been a thing from trying to grow a new world record to just trying to enjoy growing some ag's without and stress and having fun.
It's nice to see that we can all be happy and laugh at this time of year when snow is the norm and most of us would rather be growing! I think Tremor or Southern called it AG Withdrawal here recently...
So far I think the calendar will be going to Tom but I think I'll let you all decide at the end of the thread later who wins it.
I was totally serious about the cheap wall map. It is actually pretty nice and I promised it to Al Eaton a few years ago if he would send me some seeds and after I got the seeds I renegged on the deal...LOL! He did get something else though...LMAOEH! (laughing my a off even harder)
Nighty Night!....and don't let the bed bugs bite!

If I told you about my season, nobody would send me their seeds for fear that I would actually grow them. Nobody would want to see that their 1446 Eaton produced a 112 lb pumpkin... on the internet for all to see.

This is my plea for the worst grower :)
332 04 is pb. This is my 8th year. 3rd year with ag seeds. I Had 3 frosts this year in June. Did I have my plants covered? no. Did the weather man call for frost? yes.
Up until this year did I kill my patch with chemical ferts? yes. Did I Know better than to put this poison on my soil with no compost and no manure? yes again
2002 growing season. Zero plants. Was not able to a single seed to germinate. Did I do test germinations in the winter ? no
So after all of these years of Big Max and other missed opportunities? The worst grower is me Dakota Chubs

Grow em Big! Chuck

Mike, I really appreciate a grower that will "tell it like it is" to the rest of the AG world! Even the best of seeds in the "best of hands" does not guarantee 1200 lb. monster. Thank you for sharing with the "newbees" that you can still have fun growing AG's in spite of "failures".

OK. Hows this for a pathetic 2 year average?
845 Nesbitt - GA3 overdose - induced gayness - no females at all! 707 Toftness - GA3 overdose finally recovers - August set 170 lbs. 805 Pukos - Dies at the hands of neighbors Weed & Feed. 842 Eaton - fruit explodes at 230 lbs another at 216. 845 Bobier (cutting) 281.6 lbs for a Pathetic Best!
Who wants to rival the slaughter of prime genetic potential now? LOL
Rest In Peace prime pumpkin seeds.

Well I may have to change the rules here a bit from what I now see happening. I also had a 582Hester plant here at home complete with greenhouse and heating cable and grow lamps etc...and it ended up flatvining and had two pumpkins which rotted at beach ball size...so that means a zero pound pumpkin from the 582.
To win the cheap germany map (made of cheap black felt kindof stuff, by the way) the pumpkin has to be sound just like the same rules at a WPC or GPC weigh-off! LMAO!

I'm going to put some new batteries right away in my really really really cheap 7 dollar (15 Deutsche Mark) digital camera and post a cheap picture of the calendar. I'll be right back but don't hold your breath since the camera has a really bad battery connection.
I know I'm TRYING to be a bit sarcastically humorous or was that humus but I really am telling the truth in each post on this one thread at least! I won't vouch for the rest of my posts because little White lies come from somewhere and my last name happens to be White...

Tom,
I'd like to waste another one of your seeds again in 2005! I didn't get enough satisfaction from screwing up your 1097.5! LMAO! That poor plant survived the first frost but the second one was just too much for that cheap seed and she croaked! Still LMAO but still true!
I emailed you a few times about the 801.5 x Sibb X Self and never heard back from you. I'd just like to know if I'm getting one or not for 2005 or I'll try something else. Maybe you never got my emails... Michel

Ok, I finally put the cheap "Sky" brand AA cells in the cheap digital camera and got my toothless model, Talia to hold it up for a photo. The photo is not very clear but what do you want for a 7 buck piece of sh camera!
The photo will be in the Photo Gallery here and in my growers diary but if you just can't wait I posted it at http://www.grapeseek.com/map.jpg
