I am back and thank you to all those who helped me last year. Had a very poor year. We are going to start all over with a new garden in a new house. (We moved into my dad's house) There is no garden here anymore but we want to try again this year. Is there anything we can do to the garden this year besides digging up a new garden? Can we still dig the dirt? What can we add to the soil? Where do we get seeds? The seeds we had last year which we bought from a seed company really did not work out that well. Actually only one seed grew and it only grew a 30 lb pumpkin. Any help would be apprecialted.

Welcome back Rootbeer. I remember you were doing it for the children. There is no nobler cause.
1.) Send me an email with your addy. & choice seed is free.
2.) In my reply will be instructions for getting the soil samples collected properly.
3.) Stick around. Much to be learned over the winter about pumpkins.

Your soil will require about two years to reach its peak. Start bringing in the manure and compost as soon as you can.....after taking your soil sample.

I did it last year for the children. The old man was giving up on gardening all together this year and those wonderful children badgered me until I caught the bug again. And they want pumpkins. So here we go again. Tremor you were a very big help for us last year and it is much appreciated. So many people here were very helpful. Thank you also kahuna. Stan, thanks for the info. Very helpful guys. Thanks.
