The 960 was a 1337 Houghton X 898 Knauss. Amazing genetics in that seed...

And the 960 went... lets see... almost 20% heavy, didn't it? Funny though, the 1016 was under the charts by about two percent, I thought for sure with those genetics that it would go heavy. Maybe it was just that particular seed, still lots of potential to it!

Hey, i enjoy whacking with the 1260. Good times. 960 is a great cross, and I would expect the majority of its offspring to weigh heavy to the charts. I do believe it was a fluke that the 1016 went light. So did everything else in my patch, which is uncharacteristic for my soil.
