My parents are taking a vacation out east and my dad wants to know if there are any weigh-offs or pumpkin events the weekend of September 20th and 21st in Nova Scotia. I know it might be early, but I thought I'd ask. He gets a thrill of coming to Smoky Lake weigh-off with me an wants an eastern pumpkin experience. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Alan

I'm surprised no body has posted. I know of some small weigh-offs before and after this weekend, but nothing this weekend. The Dill farm would be a nice place to visit though if they're in the neighbourhood.

Yeah, I thought it would be a longshot. They are planning a trip to the Dill farm anyways. I'll see what they bring back from there for the grandkids.

Don't forget to tell them to drive back behind the Dill farm & see the birth place of hockey - Long Pond. We stopped at the Dills this past Aug & enjoyed a personal tour of the pumpkin patches, walking down memory lane with Howard's Daughter Dianne & checking out Howard's large hockey memorabilia collection. We really enjoyed our visit & I'm sure they will as well.
