It seems alot of growers give squash plants the less desirable soil in the patch and only grow one or maybe 2 plants. Are there any growers out there that still grow multiple plants like 3 or more? and give them the same fighting chance as the pkn plants as in care and soil?

I know of a grower somewhere in New York who grows 3+.
I think he gives them as much love as he does his Pumpkins.....if not more :)

I started out with four and ended up with three. I give them the same attention as my pumpkins...

I normally grow 3 in the less 'desirable' areas...I'll probably only grow 2 next year...I want a big pumpkin!:)

I started out this first season hoping like hell for the great pumpkin....I wound up rooting for my oops squash plant that was in with the pumpkin seeds I bought. Now? That plant and another bid squash are going in the best dirt I have, it was amazing watching that thing grow!

I am starting four squash seeds and putting the two best looking plants in this upcoming season . They are getting the best and biggest spots in the patch .
