I hoped for a hot summer, it started in april, but after that month it has been not good.
For tomorrow is storm expected in the Netherlands, and max 14 degrees Celcius...
My pumpkins are at least 5 weeks backwards than last year :-(
How can I improve my peronal best???
Even for the first weeks of july predictions are non-pumpkin weather.
Italy / Greece is too hot and here too cold and wet.
Sorry....

Haven't be hearing much from you this year, Theo. I'm about 2-3 weeks ahead of last year at the moment. Weather is at you say, cold and wet.

Last year we also had a cold period at the end of June.

Nice to hear Brad,
you sound so much more optimistic.

One thing is I started very late with the greenhouse,
which is low quality now.

If the stormprediction will be true this afternoon,
it might blow up...

Lets hope it will survive...

Good luck there Theo! Germany and Austria are having quite a lot of storms this season, other than that the weather was fairly nice up to now. I keep my fingers crossed for you.

No sandbagging here. Storm is currently ripping through my patch. I just lost the 1044 Privitera. The 1250 Kline got ripped to bits. Not much left of it. The 1302 Zuhlke and 1446 Eaton got damaged as well. Lost some secondaries and quite a few leaves. Corn got flattened as did most of the sunflowers. Long gourd and marrow still ok as well as 1225 Pukos and the plants in the greenhouse. Storm hasn't finished yet though.

Thanks all for the weather update input.

Here the greenhouse still stands, somehow damaged.
Storm calmed down a lot.
Now sunshine and heath is needed so much.
123mm rain this month is sufficient!

Sergio, send some Italian heath this way! ;)

Yea, hopeless there, in Austria. At home yesterday full day rain, max 13,5 degrees during most of the day.
Thank god temperature went up to 16 this morning with some sunshine.
This I need for sure for the pumpkin, it starts rotting at the split. :(
