I have some field pumpkins in pots (1000ml) they have about 5 leaves now and I noticed interveinial chlorosis I gave mg fertilizer and it became total chlorosis but I am giving regular nitrogen. What is happening?

There are a lot of potential pitfalls when the roots are restricted. If the ph gets off, thats one way to cause issues. Post a pic of the leaves? Is it the older or newer leaves? But, growing a small pot its a futile game of whack a mole. As soon as you correct one problem, another may show up.

Other nutrients can cause chlorosis. Off the top of my head, zinc, manganese, iron, sulfer, and even calcium can cause various un-green colors. Welcome to the deep end of the pumpkin pool.

I would try hitting them with a general micronutrient blend, that will likely straighten it out. It is good to find this out now. I would consider using a different seed starting blend in the future.

I, of all people, have to ask what 'mg' fertilizer is.
In fact, what ferts and what amounts/frequency would be cool to hear. No problem if you don't want to disclose this.

I agree with Don. Are you starting your plants in these containers or are you growing them in there for the season? 5 leaves on a starter on a field kin should be in the ground. You are already growing a plant in a quart container which is not big enough for the existing plant.

1000ml is way too small to grow in. That's roughly 1/4 gallon and I find plants get rootbound fast in much bigger containers.
