Hi all. I just got my soil analysis results back and I'm interested in some comments. From my interpretation, the only change I need to make is the OM content needs to be increased. The phosphorus is a little high and I'm curious to get some opinions on this. I've heard that it can actually burn roots of seedlings....
Here's the results:
pH- 6.6 Organic matter- 3.2% Phosphorus- 5.3 lbs/1000 sq. ft. Potassium- 53.7 lbs/1000 sq. ft. Calcium- 190.0 lbs/1000 sq. ft. Magnesium- 58.5 lbs/1000 sq. ft.
What do you guys recommend in the way of OM that won't leach the nitrogen out of the soil?
Thanks!!

Brian, for OG, add most anything organic, the more the better. My OG was 24% this fall. Took 3 years of adding 10" yearly of composted manure, leaves, grass to get my clay soil to 24% OG. Remember that adding large amounts of organic material generally lowers your PH some, so you''ll have to add some lime to even ph out. Steve
