I just got my soil test back from A&L and see that I have quite a bit of work to do this fall. I know which way I need to adjust most of these numbers, but I can't claim to know exactly "how much" or "why". Major components:
*OM: 5.5% *pH: 6.6 *Nitrogen: 10 ppm *Phosphorus: 75 ppm *Potassium: 105 ppm *Magnesium: 140 ppm *Calcium: 1500 ppm
My experience tells me N, P, and K are all way low. My Mg and Ca numbers need to be brought up as well, but to what extent, I'm not sure. I had the rest of the micronutrients tested, but they look good enough while I work on these larger-scale amendments.
I would really appreciate some quick suggestions - what products to add to bring these numbers within range, without introducing any further problems.
Thanks in advance, Julian

Just of note, the numbers look rounded because I tested my patch in two parts to ensure accuracy. The figures were very close between the two tests, so I just used their average.

After some research and a little math, I have a list of things that I think would get me off to a decent start. For my 1300 sqft patch...
*35 lbs bone meal *50 lbs of K-Mag (0-0-21.5 with 11% magnesium) *50 lbs gypsum *25 lbs lime *50 lbs humic acid *50 lbs greensand
Would these work for my needs?
