The chapter on Soil tests gives ranges for N,K P and Calcium, there is no range given for Magnesium. For the ranges given in the book for the others where should magnesium level be?

Mg should be from 1/10 to 1/5 of your calcium level. More towards the high end if you have sandy soil.

On the Higher end if your K is high as it ties things up.... CA - P 18:1, Ca - Mg 7:1 is recommended by the soil minerals IDEAL SOIL book http://www.soilminerals.com/
