What is the ideal soil test results for Giant Pumpkin growing. Can someone direct me to a print out of ideal soil elements for the Pumpkin grower?

Quiltinman, If you get a chance check out the PGPGA (Pennsylvania Giant Pumpkin Growers Association) site. They actually have some in depth information on a study of soil elements specifically in relation to giant pumpkins. There is a lot of information, charts, and stats that relate to what you likely are looking for. It's really worth a look and certainly a very interesting read! Coming from a guy that's a long time Oregon Duck football fan, I'm glad to help out someone from Eugene, Oregon.

quiltinman-the ratios of the nutrients is important.The parma western lab soil test is a good place to start.Soil minerals book by Agricola is a good read.
