Hi,
I'm going to try growing big pumpkins again, after doing it for 5 years and a 4-year stop. What I don't have this time, is much space for the "prepared pit" to plant them in. It's only about 1 square meter! Around that pit are other plants which can't be replaced.
For the plant itself I got about 30 square meters of grass to grow on(my wife won't let me get rid of the grass...:-)).
Here's my question : in such a small pit, how much compost, which manure and how deep? Is there a difference because it's small?
I have chickens, so also this question : can I use chicken manure although it's very strong(maybe in the deepest part of the pit)?
Thanks in advance for any reaction and greetings from Belgium!
