Got my test back and I am puzzled. I use A and L labs every year. Put same dairy manure in every year, but this years test has a few areas that jumped waaaay up and I wonder if it is true or a bad test? Only thing I added last year for first time was 50 lbs new jersey green sand in 400 to 500 sq foot for some low k and fe results. I know it was a heavy dose, but all my research said it was ok. My potassium jumped waaay up and so did my boron. here are the results:
ph 7.7 OM 15.7 N 113 PH 237 K 1425 MG 818 CA 3579 NA 457 Sulfer 312 ZN 17 MN 3 Fe 22 Cu .8 B 5.5 CEC 30.2 Ece 3.5 My boron last year was .2 and k was 250. That being said, I have added nothing to patch this year except leaves in the fall. I grew a personal best last year with my soil and had a great year. I was told to lower the ph with sulfer.
Experts opinion? should I put any manure in? Never had a year where I didn't add manure. But wondering if the test results are accurate. How the heck did that happen? lol Thanks, Jim
