I plan to add a couple yards of leaf compost to each 750 sq feet, and 100 lbs of hydrated lime. Any other suggestions? Thank Dan

You need to get the PH up. The sweet spot is at about 7.2

Others can probabbly give you a better idea of exactly how much to add but last fall, my PH was 5.6. I aded 35 pounds of Lime and now my PH is at 7.0. My patch is only 200 SF so adjust accordingly.

With the relatively low organic % you may be low in nitrogen. You might try 2 lbs of calcium nitrate in a 10 ft circle in your planting area -this will be beneficial while the soil is still cool..Watch your plants color and growth rate as spring turns into summer. You can use blood meal or fish emulsion (for nitrogen)if you want to be organic.Other than ph test looks pretty good

Get a couple yards of well rotted Cow poo per 750 sq ft. Your OM seems very low and more nutrients wouldnt hurt.

Do you know what lbs per acre ( or lbs to 1000 sq feet)of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium you try to shoot for? Thanks I probably can find some composted cow manure.I will add that instead of the leaf compost.

get you'r organic matter up to 9 persent by adding about 4 -5 yds manure/compost, get your ph up to 6.2- 7.2, (i'd probly use less, you can find how much to add per 1000 sf online because if you'r slitly off you can mess up your ph), raise your sat ca to 60-80 persent,(though the lime will do this i recomend you get gypson to raise ca without raising ph), and thats about it. Pretty simple right.
