Now her are my results : Analysis (ppm) Result Interpretation comments pH 7,7 High Phosphorus 54 slightly low Potassium 509 normal Magnesium 134 normal Calcium 5558 High Sulphur 3 Very low consider treatment Manganese 139 normal Copper 7,1 normal Boron 1,94 slightly low cons.treatment Zinc 13,1 normal Molybdenum 0 Very low low priority Iron 364 normal Sodium (Na) 22 Very low not a problem CEC ( meq/ 100g) 12,9 slightly low org. matter ( %) 3,3 normal
Some results are not really expectable, the surrounding corn field and cherry orchard are about 10 times higher in phosphorus ( i think due to different analysis method between UK and German Lab )( but mycos probably love that lol ) and pH on that places is about 7,2
Also I spread about 15 cbyard cow manure and 15 cbyard ( 12 cbm) compost and 4-5 cby liquid cow manure on that patch ( 6000 - 8000 sqft) this winter. Its a loamy sand, quite sandy, but I expected higher organic matter. ( althoug I made the sample to full plowing depth, 12 inches)
Any comments appreciated !

Special questions : I plan to spread potassium sulfate or magnesium sulfate or the mix, I think in northamerica its called K-Mag ( 30K,10 Mg) what type, how much? That would also raise sulfur levels. I bought 130 lbs gypsum before analysis, I wanted to raise Ca and sulfur. Sulfur would be okay, but Ca is already high. Would surplus Ca result in a higher leaching out of other cations, ( K, Mg) ?
And thats the questions for the experts or freaks : CEC is analysed as 12,9 meq/100g but when i convert the ppm in meq/100g and add up the results for K, Mg, Ca,and Na I come to 30,2 meq of cations/100g soil ?
Thanks Benny

there's only one type of k-mag I'm aware of. I'd use around 10-25kg bags on the 7000sq' that should this should help PH, magnesium calcium ratio and sulphur, to a degree. At this point adding the Gypsuim will make your MAG/CA ratio worse. some kelp meal would help your Boron, Iron, OM and Phosphorus. If you can get the tonne bags I would get 2. others may disagree but thats what I would do.
