Do you guys knock down your cover crop with Round Up before tiling or...do you just till it under. I planted Winter Rye and it is very dense. Mark

Just till it under Milford. It should decompose quickly once the warmer temps hit.

I usually mow the winter rye first...let it dry a day or two...then till.

It's called "green manure" for a reason, if your tiller will handle it till it in,or plow it under, if necessary mow it and till as soon as possible. Most folks do plant it far heavier than necessary a point to remember in the fall.
