How will fresh cow manure affect the P H level of my patch?

It will lower the ph. You should direct your question to Tremor or another knowledgeable source on the subject.

Its true addittion of decomposing organic material i.e."cow manure" can lower PH over time, but it really takes quite a lot in most cases. if you are battling low PH already, large ammounts of manure and compost can complicate the buffering process. If you have high PH like me (base PH 8), it seems that it really dosn't have much impact no matter how much you put on.
Manure high in free ammonia, like fresh cow manure, and more so poultry or hog manures will tend to lower PH to a greater extent. However, we realy don't like these types of manure for our purposes.
