OK also starting a new patch this year. Yeah I've got the bug. Tilled up more back yard. Look out Tom Privitera I may be following in your foot steps. Hasn't cost me a minivan yet though. :)

Here goes. Before even starting I know I need to raise the PH and organic matter. It is a new patch after all. The olny thing I'd done to it before taking the test dirt was till it.

PH 5.7
Phosphorus 51 ppm
Potassium 52 ppm
Magnesium 94 ppm
Calcium 453 ppm
CEC 5.6
Cu 1.8 ppm
Mn 13.2 ppm
Zn 3.6 ppm
Fe 20.5 ppm

% exchangeable bases
4.2 K
24.6 Mg
71.2 Ca

recommendations from the report.
2 tons per acre Lime stone. 80 lbs per acre nitrogen. Again without a test??? 25 lbs per acre Phosphate. 185 lbs per acre potassium. one lb per acre boron.

This patch needs some work I know I've already begun. 5 loads manure, lots of leaves, and limestone added.

Thanks again in advance for any advise.

Jesse

Also would there be any benefit to adding a liquid humic acidacid and Nutri Cal this fall? Should I wait until spring?
