Old Patch:
PH 7.4 I know I have to bring this down. Phosphorus 94 PPM Potassium 35 PPM Magnesium 175 ppm Calcium 1028 PPM 54.7 ppm Cu 26.1 ppm Mn 6.3 ppm Zn 20.9 ppm Fe CEC 6.7 meq/100g Working on this. Takes time to build organic matter.
% exchangeable baess K 1.3 Mg 21.8 CA 76.9
suggestions on the report were 80 lbs per acre nitrogen. Even though they didn't seem to test Nitrogen levels. Is this normal?
210 lbs per acre Potassium one pound per acre Boron ????? .7 pouns per acre Manganese again ?????? 1.2 Lbs per acre Zinc ?????
Whats the best thing to use to lower my PH and what quantity would I need to use to get down to 6.5? There was no recommendation on the report?
Thanks in advance for any help, I appreciate it. Can't wait for 2008!
Jesse

100 lbs of pelletized 90% sulfur will grin you down 0.3 in your pH. per 1000 square feet. I would throw 100lbs down. Correct more in spring if necessary. The change wont be quick...it will take all winter.

All your other numbers are low too, I would throw 100lbs of granular gypsum down, as well as 2-3 yards of composted cow manure.
Being in Mi, its probably too cold to till right now, but if you can it would be best.
Not likely a cover crop will sprout now, but you could throw a quick crop down in spring to till in after a couple weeks of growth.
