It is part of Starbucks corporate policy to give away grounds to those who ask for it. Just talk to your local Barista.

LOL Wayne! Hee Hee...coffee IV anyone? seriously..Starbucks usually just leaves the bags with the filters and all behind their shop out the back door ...I always have a big tupperware container in the trunk and everytime I pass by, in it goes....put it in your compost..filters and all!

I went to 6 big name coffee houses early last spring and they were not willing to put by or have seperate bins for the coffee grounds. Their policy was to clear down at the end of each days business and all garbage had to disposed of in large compactor waste containers. Since the change in management at my local Pub i can no longer get the coffee grounds i used to have put by for me during last winter and spring. Now looking for a new supplier but all have the same attitude and are not willing to or are too lazy to put the coffee grounds into a seperate container even if i supplied it.

Regards
Mike

Maybe a small donation of a 200 lb pumpkin for a "guess the weight" competition will help change there minds..and help get ya the grinds for next season.

To be honest, the coffee houses would not be interested in such a good idea. Remember, these are coffee houses in the UK who have to do what the bosses tell them regardless of any proposals put to them. Sad but true.

Pocatello is getting it's first Starbucks in January. I'm already scoping out the property, ready to pounce!

Go get 'em Cliff...don't wait, go and talk...tell em you will supply the buckets, and all they have to do is set it aside and you will pick it up, drop off new bucket, etc. It is tough going here, gotta fight off all the rose gardeners...(blue hairs)...get my fair share, though...LOL Peace, Wayne
