Here in Connecticut we seem to have very low levels of Manganese. What effects could this have on the AG's. Secondly what products could be used to increase this selectively. The reason I say this is that the rest of my minor nutrients are good and I don't want to throw them out of range. Mark

This isn't the asnwer you seek but....
We can soil apply manganses sucrate & watch it disappear as if it was landing in a bottomless pit.
Foliar feeding with chelated Manganese is usually the best bet.

Thanks Steve...I think? I was looking at last years soil test and knew the manganese was low but after looking again it was barely there. Is this common in CT. I'm really interestedin the question; What effect does low manganese have on the plant? What is it's function?

Manganese regulates nitrate conversion to ammonium and hormones, carbon and p transfer in the plant.
