I'm not sure if this has been posted before but is it necessary to rotate pumpkin crops every few years? I only have one patch and it is full of pumpkins.

The reason peaple rotate crops is because number 1 they have room too and its also to give the soil a rest and for pest prevention re cukes and such if you have only one patch i would suggest growing a cover crop of something to restore your soil and keep up with the whole ph thing but wait till you here from the experts here as im a newbie and still learning the ways.lots of peaple use on patch every yr but add stuff to it to keep the soil healthy and happy may you grow lots of big pumpkins in yrs to come
