Be careful, it can have a very high pH and lots of calcium.
I used too much of it and screwed up my soil.

I've done some research on this. Mushroom compost varies widly from farm to farm. The compost coming out of our local farm is 7-7.2 PH. They do use dolomitic lime in the formula but only 500 lbs / 25 ton batch. Compost that rests for several years will also be much lower in salts than fresh stuff. I have heard horror stories about over application, so you need to check out the product you are planning to use. I think the compost from our local farm will be ok. I applied 45 tons (60 yards) to 7000 ft2 patch this fall. If its too much I'll find out next summer ....lol

I used mushroom manure a few years back and had issues that following growing season. Could have been bad luck or other elements but I blamed the product. As stated, each mushroom farm uses different additives and you just never know what you are getting.
Best advice I got this year at a weigh-off was "always use well composted manure".

Wow, glaf I asked. I been lookin at some of the websites for this stuff and you'd think it was something great. I think I may just pass on the stuff and stick with my original plan of manure and leaves. Thanks for the comments. Mike

It depends on who makes it. The stuff I put in dropped my ph from 8.5 to 7.6 in one season. The plant where it comes from states it leaves their place at a ph of about 7. Of course it also raised my EC from 0.6 to 2.6 Alan
