The kids and I just got back our latest soil samples from 2 patches. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. #1 PH 7.3 OM 5.1 CEC 16 Base Sat 87.4 K sat 4.0 Mg sat 11.4 Na sat .4 P 588 K 489 Ca 4540 Mg 433 Na 30 Fe 139 NO3-N 40 SO4-S 47 Mn 283 Cu 4.4 Zn 43.6 B 2.2
#2 PH 7.3 OM 1.9 CEC 25 Base Sat 91.9 K sat 1.1 Mg sat 1.6 Na sat .2 P 221 K 219 Ca 8775 Mg 92 Na 22 Fe 99 NO3-N 17 SO4-S 3096 Mn 142 Cu 3.5 Zn 8.3 B 3.6

What I see right off is an excessive amount of Mn to Fe. Could cause Fe deficiency. Might want to look into that one.
Sheesh! Mn is a micro. How did you get so much in there?

You have lots of nutrients here, but you need organic matter. I would try to get as much as you can, in this fall, lots of leaves and or a cover crop if possible. If you can afford lots of peat moss would be possitive as well.

CountryKid is correct....more manure and leaves. I cannot believe that your SO4-S is correct...mine is 15 ppm. If it is...you'd better not fart near your patch or the entire patch might go up in flames! ;>)

also notice that in the second patch you have only 1.9 organic matter. the leaves should help with that too.
