When Reading a Soil test Were "ideally" should the numbers be around? I'm not looking for "perfect" numbers as I already know that wont happen but whats a rough figure were these numbers should be at?

Based on my Sept "04" results

OM - 2.8
K-ppm - 96
MG-ppm- 140
ca-ppm - 3150
PH 7.8
% K- 1.4
% mg - 6.8
% ca 91.5

After all the hard work done in the fall prep with double digging, and all the additives I put into it i'm hopeing to see some raises in some numbers and lowering in others ( PH) :-) Also what numbers take long periods of time to slowly raise and drop? what I'm getting as it approx how long does it take to get good soil if you keep on top of things and go by the soil test results for additives ext.

You should really work on the organic matter. I feel that the ideal percent would be anywhere from 10-15% but top growers have been showing higher organic matter. Now might not be the time to start adding tons of stuff but it would be interesting to see your soil test as of now. Good Luck.

Ya my results should be here any day now, just "patiently" waiting on them. In the fall I double dug entire patch
added 4" of sheep/ Goat manure, granular line stone, Jersey green sand, Mollases, 2 large bags of non acided peatmoss,Sulphate of potash, and a winter cover crop to top it all off. soil tests were taken in March ( late) cant wait to see the new results, I'm kinda worried about getting back a HIGH PH, but might not be too bad with the other stuff i added.

Ok never mind, Did some re search and I think Ive got a "rough" figure, And looking at my last Septs tests my numbers are BAD!!
