If I read and understand correctly, the pumpkin weigh off for 2016 will be on Friday Oct.7th ??
Can someone please confirm that for me ?

That is correct. From here on out, the weigh-off will be the SECOND weekend in October. The 7th will be the giant pumpkin and squash weigh-off and the 8th will be all other categories this year.
