And down the stretch they come, growers pushing their pumpkins as not to leave any pounds in the patch, sites sprucing up & decorating for their big day.

We are heading into the big 3 weekends of the weigh-off season & I got thinking of who will be the big 3 going to NYC???? We already have Jos Gahye leading the pack with a monster 1,840.9#er will that be enough to make the trip????

Who will be the GOTY winner??
How many world records will fall??? We know at least 1 already congratulations Dan MacCoy on your 8.41# tomato!!!!

By all accounts it seems that this could be another banner year for all growers world wide. The GPC would like to wish all growers a new PB & please have a fun & safe weigh-off season!!!!!

The arrival date for the pumpkins & growers participating in this event is Wednesday 10/22/2014. The GPC will set a base line weight for the big 3 on Sunday 10/5/2013 if you have a pumpkin or know of someone who does have a pumpkin that will contend for the top 3 please contact your regional GPC rep. Cutoff date to have your pumpkin officially weighed at a GPC sanctioned event to be eligible for this event will be 10/12/2014. If you know of a qualifying pumpkin to be weighed no later than 10/18 you must contact the GPC by 10/13 or it will not be considered for this event.

One big weekend to go & more scales to be lite up by the growers is sure to happen!!!!

Can anyone beat Beni?????

Top 3 for NYC right now would be Beni, Bill Neptune, & Karl Haist any other challengers to make this trip????

We had 3 world records go down this past weekend Beni Meir 2102 - Scott Holub 1578 squash - John MacKinnon 211 field pumpkin - who else has world record potential????

Top ten averages are tumbling all over & the best top ten has been broken twice will it go down again????

Stay tuned this is one wild ride I think all of us are enjoying!!!!!!
