Had my first soil test and need to tweek my potassium up. I would like to use green sand because it is slow release, has lots of trace minerals and is gentle on microb life. I probably need close to 200lbs but in my research I noticed that some manufacturers add sand and other inert materials (without lowering there price point). Can anyone recommend what brand names would give me the best bang for my buck. Thanks Mary

Par 4 Greensand comes in 50 lb bags for about $60 per bag, other suppliers sell by the ton.

Greensand is a great addition, but is only 7% potassium. I would recommend greensand but not as your potassium source. Stick with 0-0-50 which is readily available and all natural. Good luck.
