I had a watermelon vine chewed through by mice the other day and I saw one in my pumpkins today. So what are your best techniques for getting rid of the mice? As it stands my plan is to go out and set about 1,000,001 mousetraps of all kinds. Any other ideas or suggestions on bait?

I have or had mice and rat problems, lots of traps around the patch and poison has eliminated this problem.

Use different kinds of traps and glue boards. They love peanut butter and sunflower seeds for bait. Don't forget poison blocks as well. I use them all. Forget cheese. They love seeds and berries.

Take a five gallon bucket..run a piece of wire thru a can so it will spin ..put peanut butter on it and tie it off across the top of the bucket..run a ramp up the bucket..the mice will go after the PB and fall in the bucket.. no need to keep setting traps
