Hi all! I have a beautiful (albeit small) First Prize Hybrid. Growth started slowing two weeks ago and then came to a halt. No growth for a week. Then powdery mildew set in and has ravaged the plant. We're still a long way from October. What's the best way to close out the season? Leave the pumpkin on the vine until the vine is dead? Pull and display? Pull and store? The pumpkin is untouched by whatever took out the leaves. Had a problem with borers earlier in the season but beat them back. Whatever this was I just didn't get to fast enough despite preventatives. (And may be the same thing that now looks to be spreading to my tomatoes).
Appreciate the advice!

Oh.. I didn't see that option ...def..it will keep alive even if the plant looks dead...so long as the vine still looks ok you can leave it...otherwise u can store it...pumpkins for Halloween sales are starting to be harvested (in ny anyway)
