Hi all. So I finally have a pumpkin growing. I just pollenated it 2 days ago. The main vine extends about 5 or 6 feet beyond that. My new problem is I'm out of room. The pumpkin plant has taken over the whole garden and is now about to move in on the green house. I've been reading about clipping the tip of the vine and burying it. So how will I know know when the pumpkin is pollenated. Hpw do I go about clipping and burying the vine.
Thanks everyone. The knowledge and experience on this site is incredible.

I always let my main grow tip grow until the end of the season... I wrap it around my patch .. Let it grow over other vines threw the leaf canopy. Etc.

Make sure you have pollination first! They can get to basketball size and still abort. Listen to Shannon!
