can i do anything now my pumpkin has spilt the main about 4 inches back from the steem is leaking. should i bury it or keep it clean. is it a total loss or should i keep it going as long as posible thanks for any advice in advance

Keep dry and out of the dirt. Apply fungicide on the split

Good advice above, keep it clean and dry, I have had a few splits down my main, but mine keeps on going, kind of amazed how resilient the main vine can be. Good Luck!
